About the Selleck  Agency

Mary Selleck

Mary Selleck has worked in the insurance industry since 1986. In Colorado, she became an Allstate Agency owner in 2004. After 7 successful years, Mary sold her agency in 2014 to come back to her home town of Owosso, Michigan to run the insurance side of the family business, the Richard Selleck Agency, alongside her brother Mike.

Mary holds dual insurance licenses in Colorado and Michigan for Property, Casualty and Life Insurance. Maintaining dual licenses allows Mary to retain continuity of service for both her existing and new customers in both Colorado and Michigan while offering a flexibility of choice for your insurance needs.  Always developing her skills and knowledge, Mary became a licensed realtor in 2022 to support the Selleck Agency and their customers.

Mary serves her community through various volunteer programs such as the Shiawassee Chamber of Commerce, Shiawassee Kiwanis and Fraternal Order of Eagles 851. Mary also enjoys playing golf, bike riding, attending classes at the Wellness Center and ‘hanging’ with her family and friends.

Mike Selleck

Mike started in real estate in 1979 when he joined his father, Richard Selleck at the Richard Selleck and Son’s Real Estate and Insurance Agency. Today,  Mike is the Broker for Richard J Selleck and Sons Agency Inc. and a State Limited Licensed Appraiser.

Mike has enjoyed serving the Greater Shiawassee County for all their real estate needs for over 40 years.

Born in Owosso, Mike has lived locally for most of his life. He has 2 sons Michael (Jennifer) and Jonathan (Caitlan) along with 3 grandchildren:  Jude, Bronson, and Vivian.  Mike attributes to his parents, Dick and Joan, raising him to treat people with respect, dignity, and honesty.   These are the values of the Selleck Agency.

Mike quietly delivers on these values through memberships: in Owosso Rotary, Respite Volunteer, Memorial Healthcare Patron, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Owosso Eagles 851 and Owosso Country Club.

Julie Young

Julie Young is a licensed realtor with Richard J Selleck & Sons Agency.  She has been an involved member of Shiawassee County since 1985.  Julie’s attention to detail ensures a pleasant and professional experience for her clients.  Participating in an active lifestyle, Julie is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with family and friends

Hailey Irons

Hailey Irons retained her property and casualty license at nineteen years of age. Hailey directly touches base with clients every renewal and tries to save money anywhere possible. Hailey is very detail oriented and is a great asset to our Agency. Hailey graduated from Owosso High School in 2017, has a young daughter and dogs that keep her very busy. She is very family orientated and enjoys bike rides, walks and camping outside of work.

Julie Klawuhn

Julie Klawuhn is a licensed Realtor since 2009. As a Realtor, Julie uses her knowledge, experience and resources to assist buyers and sellers in finding and or selling their home. As a seller’s agent, she researches the area to figure out the best possible price to list a home, market it and get it sold. As a buyer’s agent, she truly enjoys the whole experience of getting to know her clients and working together to figure out which home best suites their wants and needs, while staying within budget.

Julie is married and a proud mom of 2 children.  Julie loves spending time with friends and family and enjoys baking , biking, campion, hiking and kayaking. 

Julie is also a member of the Greater Shiawassee Association of Realtors since 2009 and a Volunteer on the Public Relations Committee since 2011 and Board of Directors since 2022. She volunteers as a Den Leader with the Cub Scouts since 2017. Proud to be a part of the pack and happy to help our scouts learn important life lessons. Do your best!!!
